Finishing is the processing that takes place when the actual printing is completed. Aside from cutting to common formats and individual sizes and shapes, Damgaard-Jensen A/S offers a long row of finishing methods, including creasing.
Folding
Pamphlets, brochures, menus, invitations, etc. can be folded in numerous different ways. The illustrations to the right show the most common ways of folding. If your business requires alternative folding, just let us know. We are always up for a challenge, and we are happy to develop specialized solutions along with our customers. Our customers gain a uniquely adapted solution, and we force ourselves to develop and think differently.
Folding can be manual and automated. We even fold laminated and thin laminated printed matter. Note that printed matter on very thick media may break the colour at the crease, and that such material should be laminated with thin laminate. This can be seen clearly in subjects with very dark colours.
By paper weights of 160 g and above, the best results are achieved when applying a folding crease before folding. The crease is a small groove in the paper that ensures precise folding and prevents that the paper becomes jagged or breaks at the fold.
Individual printed matter When we write individual printed matter, we are not kidding – the majority of our products have been adapted and take into account the intended use of the product.
Digital printing allows fast re-printing anytime and variable data for any different projects in a very high quality and with colour-fast results. Merging is possible with addresses, images, languages, etc. We can make new production runs of down to 1 single copy.
